Guess Handbags - How did it all begin ?

Guess is a U.S. high end luxury designer manufacturer which creates a wide range of fashion apparel and extra accessories among them Guess handbags.

This company began in America in the early 1980's and was set up by four brothers who originated from the French city of Marseille.

The Marciano brothers has a fascination with California and moved there in the late 1970's. Showing both their love of classic Americana fashion with a European eye the Marciano siblings quickly observed an opportunity in the American fashion world.

Towards the end of the 70's, denim was perceived to be old fashioned and far from it's popularity of the previous two decades. The Marciano family had developed a fresh new type of jeans identified as the Marilyn. This three zip style was not appreciated by the fashion media or retail stores and only after a lot of persuasion were the Marciano siblings able to secure a sample order with the Bloomingdales store. Still then the store agreed only to stock 24 pairs of jeans and this was more of a favour than a financial strategy. However, within hours of releasing the jeans for general sale Bloomingdales had completely sold out and a new fashion brand was born in the eyes of the world.

Over time Guess have added more fashion accessories to the Guess clothing brand and Guess handbags are now one of the many fashion accessories the company now produces.Proving to be particularly desirable these hand bags add a real look of sassy style to any woman's wardrobe.

In recent years Guess has moved into doing accessories for the home such as bed linen, scents and wrist watches and the company seems to be continuing to go from strength to strength.
